What We Do
Food should be a celebration of friends and family. Dining together should be a time of relaxing and enjoying the company of those we love. We at Nolavore understand how hard it is not only to locate quality foodstuffs, but also how difficult it is to take the time to prepare them. Consider how much time we spend in traffic on the way to the store, finding a parking spot, standing in line at the check out, driving back home, and the preparing, eating and cleanup of just one meal. All after a long day at work, it seems rather daunting. Or we could just stop by a fast food outlet on the way home and eat the same take-out we have had many times before.
That's our niche. After decades in the culinary industry, we find ourselves cooking and eating in our own homes in a different way than we would at work or dining out. Buying local produce, frequenting nearby farmer's markets, and researching our culinary heritage, we came to one conclusion: the fresher the better. It seems a simple enough concept, yet it is surprisingly difficult to pull off on a daily basis. That's why we have decided to offer our services. We want to bring you delicious, concientiously prepared food that not only dazzles your taste buds, but saves you time so that you can enjoy your meal and have that much deserved break from a hectic schedule.

Prepared meals: Professional quality dips, spreads, composed salads, entrees, snacks, and sweets made freshly and available at the Poeyfarre Market in the historic Warehouse District, are designed to appeal to a variety of palates. Visit brothers Nic and Beau Nesbit in their store at 925 Poeyfarre Street directly across from the Cotton Mill Condominiums, and ask them to direct you to their Nolavore Products.
Event Catering: We are available to cater a variety of occasions, from elegant seated dinners to buffets, and from dropped off corporate boxed lunches to full service events. We are a mission-driven company that will strive to help you remember the simple joys of eating good food at any occasion, and we offer a product that gives you a healthy, fresh, tasty experience that celebrates and supports the local food economy. It's a win-win.
Holiday Menus: Taking the time to prepare a full dinner during already hectic times of year can be a challenge. We offer assistance in the way of flavorful appetizers, expertly prepared side dishes, and delicious desserts to enhance your holiday experience, not only in terms of flavor, but convenience as well. All dishes can be delivered right to your door, and some snack items come with complimentary gift packaging for convenient, hassle-free gift giving.
